I forgot how tedious the sorting, packing and organising part of travelling was. It's 1pm on Sunday afternoon, I don't know where the morning has gone as I've been trying to be extremely strict on what is making the final cut to take overseas...but I don't feel closer to being ready. Still in my pajamas!
Mum is a godsend, wouldn't be anywhere NEAR as organized if she wasn't continuously at me to "KEEP GOING!" I am annoyed and reluctant at her persistence but I secretly know it's what I need to be ready to go by Tuesday. Mum and Dad are also planning on potentially renting the house out from January next year, and because I won't be back until December, I need to more or less sort my entire room out now, and I have SO much junk. So far I have four gigantic bags of clothes to go to vinnies, a rubbish dump out the front an extremely messy room and still a whole lot more stuff to sort through before mum even thinks of letting me off the hook until I get home. I keep thinking I'll just do it when I get back. But the last thing I'll feel like doing after eight months of travelling is clean my room. Fact.
Apart from this packing/sorting/throwing out/storing section of the pre-trip organising process, everything else is more or less done. Fingers crossed there will be no pre-flight stress before Wednesday.
It's actually starting to sink in that I'm leaving!

Ready, Steady, Nearly Go…
Almost there!
Only two weeks of work left and everything is locked in. A minor blow recently finding out that Mat has to come home five months early for work, but we’ve got a pretty unreal summer locked in, so Sam and I will figure out what we want to do from August onwards later down the track.
Instead of giving a run down of what we’re going to do, I’m going to give running commentary while we’re there…there’s no point in trying to explain what’s about to happen, especially when we don’t know what to expect! I am nervous
Most of our accomodation is locked in for the States, then we’ve also locked in Madrid, Ibiza, San Sebastian and Ios in Greece. Going to be a full on full steam ahead summer, and this is all AFTER we tear across LA, Vegas, Texas, Miami, Orlando and NY.
Booked in tickets for Parklife in Manchester, and also bought tickets to Creamfields in August. Couldn’t miss one or two festivals it would be a crime!
Now just waiting to get over there! Reached and passed my goal saving amount…absolutely stoked. Work is dragging but the end date is slowly creeping closer.
